"U9" League Added for 1st and 2nd Grade

U9 League

This year we are adding an introductory program for a "U-9" league at cost of $100. You can register and pay on this website.

Who is a U9? - US Lacrosse rule; Children (Boys and Girls) who have not turned age 9 on or before August 31, 2011 may participate. The U9 League is open to Boys and Girls but games will be played utilizing boys rules and boys lacrosse gear is required.

The league will include players from any SCLA Town and any child born on or after September 1, 2002 can play, no matter where they live or school.

Teams will be formed in "pick up fashion" for one Sunday session per week beginning in late Jan/early Feb 2012 and running for approximately 12 weeks. A session will include a 45 minute practice followed by a 30 minute game. Instruction and play is geared appropriately towards 1st and 2nd Graders, and 3rd graders who are not ready for 3/4 Division. Games will be played on much smaller field with a 7 on 7 format. Players will be issued reversible pennies (Jerseys).

Practices will be held at rotating field locations in the Conejo Valley and Simi Valley. Players will require full gear incl. helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads and a stick. More detail on the U9 league as we know.

Go Knights!
